Oregon alone has like 5 guys any one of whom could put up better numbers. They won't because there's so many of them, but at least one or two could put up better numbers. (Though they're all better than Mathews, even without the stats). He struggles to do any one thing in an elite way. He's a very good receiver. That's it.
Mathews last year was #50 in yards, tied from #26 for 13 spots in TDs, tied for 34th in catches, and way down the list on yards per.
He might be top 20 this year if he's lucky.
