Unless its changed, they wont allow a very dark tint on the front
And i once bought a truck with a light tint on the front and did fail inspection so Crush4 is right about that. I seem to rememeber nothing darker than 40% on the front.

Car window tinting. Does it make a big difference? How much should it be?

Utah is nazi on this. They don't allow anything on the front.

They allow 43% on front windows, as dark as you want on back.

And inspection places in Utah are now required to use a light meter

Definitely not DIY. $200 bucks on a sedan and it'll look great for years.

I remember when DIY tinting was quite common. And quite ugly to look at.

Ok, so the consensus is that I should try to do it myself
