I went to two home games last year, and I really don't have any problem with the marching band. Just like you said, tradition, etc. While the band was performing at half time, the only thing that was going through my head was, "why don't they have a huge Y logo on that big ole bass drum, instead of those tiny, barely-visible 'BYU' letters?". It really was a no-brainer in my mind..."Let's see...we have a big round drum...we have a round-ish logo...let's put tiny BYU letters on it!!".
I warned you that it was a random thought.
