And whether this poster is overreacting or not to the actual fly, I would never talk to a customer that way. It doesn't sound to me like she ever really apologized. He wasn't asking for sackcloth and ashes, but she could have easily defused this by just smiling and saying "yeah, I'm sorry, I completely understand. Can I get you something else?" This is customer service 101.
