when successful. Maybe I am just imagining this but I think since most of our fan base is white they identify with these players. When white players aren't successful it reminds them of their own weaknesses. People just saw themselves in Povey and Riley Nelson and they couldn't help but be hard on them. When they failed, BYU fans felt like they personally failed. I did not like Povey as a CB but I always thought well if he is still out there, honestly he is probably our best option.

I am obviously not saying only white people are criticized. Just thought I would nip that in the bud.
