RE: BYU football post National Championship
I strongly agree with most of what you said, while I may mildly have a difference of opinions on a few of the things that you said, but over all, I enjoyed your educated post. Thank you for all the research and education. I do appreciate it. It is meaningful.

We are now, since 2013, playing a much stronger SOS, and that is a plus for both our HC and our AD.

The main area that I mildly have a difference of opinion, (I think, but maybe not), is that from what I have witnessed, All of our coaches give 100% + to get ready for that first big P5 type team, and the fruits of their labor is great with a beautiful win and I think that they are fantastic for all of this effort, film watching, training, teaching, and coaching to get the team ready for that big first important game.

The problem as I have witnessed, over the years, is that after that first big win, our coaches tend to ease up; tend to rest; tend to not have the team ready for the rest of the season, they tend to want to spend some time with their families while letting the team rest and heal, and as a result, they have us losing too many games that we are favored to win.

It is my opinion that the time to rest and heal and spend time for family outings, for the team as a whole, and for the coaching staff as a whole, is after all 12 games of the season have been played plus the post season bowl game.

If an Individual player or an individual coach needs time off to rest and heal, let that individual have the time off to rest and heal while giving the back ups time on the field to train, to be taught, to be coached, and to be ready for that next big game. Every game should be the next big game that we are coached to win. Not just the first big game.
