and that happens. However there is no real way to fix this situation and this one would fall under a judgement call or just plane umpire stupidity. I'll grant with this one there is a bit of gray area but it's still not something on which an appeal would be allowed.

Appeals are meant for misapplication of rules not judgement calls like fair/foul or safe/out.
