Granted, the playoffs and the regular season are two different animals. However...that would also apply to a team with Love in the lineup.
I wish I could find the stats they showed right after the injury showing just how much more efficient Cleveland was offensively and defensively with Love in the lineup. They were pretty striking. They were allowing something like 3 fewer points per game and scoring something like 6 points more per game over 48 minutes. It was almost a 10 point scoring differential with Love in the lineup.
Unless he comes back, we'll likely never really know what difference he would make in the playoffs. I'm sure they'd like to have him for Golden State where they are going to have to score...
