A few observations as we clean our old house in preparation for moving back to
Utah this week.

1. My wife and I think alike, but apparently not always like other Mormons. They are building a temple in the neighborhood we are leaving and in church they announced that there were rocks at the temple construction site that members were welcome to take from the pile and bring home. We'd had some trouble with our little dog getting loose so we thought they would be great to plug some holes under the fence. It wasn't until we got to the site to collect the rocks that we realized that what they meant was some people wanted to take the rocks home to display for sentimental reasons.

2. Pinterest sucks. There is a bleached out portion on the carpet in one of our rooms where one of my kids spilled a red drink. Then my wife followed instructions from Pinterest on how to remove carpet stains and ended up removing the carpet color as well. Pinterest has on numerous occasions has made my day just a little bit worse but usually it is food related.

3. Mormons are really nice. The relief society came and cleaned our old place today even though we told them we didn't want or need them to. Of course we pre-cleaned it already because my wife and I are both some combination of prideful or easily embarrassed. So there really wasn't much for them to do. Still, it was a nice gesture.
