...because I didn't have to talk to other Lost fans about their thoughts and theories on the series. Talking to Lost fanatics while it was airing was unbearable because (1) they ALWAYS wanted to talk about Lost and (2) 75% of their answers had already been answered in a previous episode, and they would "agree to disagree" whenever you told them the answer to their question they were discussing.

Even now, Lost fans continue to misinterpret the finale. And it's cool to dislike the finale (I liked it), but a lot of people dislike the finale simply because they misinterpreted what was happening the entire last season.
