Typically, you should rotate exactly like CDV is doing.
Putting cedar shoe trees in the shoes after each use helps extend the life of your dress shoes by helping to dry the inside (yes, you sweat in your shoes), help to prevent odors, and keep the shape of your shoes.

Also, higher quality shoes do typically last longer. As an example, I have had a pair of Allen Edmonds that I have had for almost 6 years that still look almost new amd that is after wearing them abut 60 times a year. They are more expensive, but the expense is worth it. Plus, once the sole is worn out, you can send them back to them plus $75(I think), and they will resole the shoe and recondition it to make them almost new again.
