Seriously? Their last 10-15 years have been WAY better
Has any other team in the nation been as consistently good?

2002 12-1 Rank: 15 (Only loss @ Arkansas - blowout)
2003 13-1 Rank: 16 (Only loss @ Oregon St by 2 pts)
2004 11-1 Rank: 12 (Loss in bowl game to #8 Louisville by 4 pts)
2005 9-4 Rank: NR (WAC Co-Champions)
2006 13-0 Rank: 5 (Incredible OT win vs Oklahoma in Fiesta Bowl)
2007 10-3 Rank: 23 (Hawaii busts BCS; Boise 2nd in WAC)
2008 12-1 Rank: 11 (Only loss vs #11 TCU in bowl game by 1 pt)
2009 14-0 Rank: 4 (Win vs #3 TCU in Fiesta Bowl by 7 pts)
2010 12-1 Rank: 9 (Only loss is in OT at Nevada w/Kaepernick; blow out of #19 Utah in Vegas Bowl)
2011 12-1 Rank: 8 (Only loss vs #24 TCU by 1 pt)
2012 11-2 Rank: 18 (MWC Co-Champions; loss at #13 Michigan State by 4 pts, loss vs San Diego State by 2 pts)
2013 8-5 Rank: NR
2014 12-2 Rank: 16 (Fiesta Bowl win vs #11 Arizona; neutral site loss to #19 Ole Miss, loss @ Air Force)

Boise State has maintained their success through three coaches; has gone to the Fiesta Bowl 3 times (and won all three games), clobbered Utah in a head-to-head matchup, and regularly wins their conference title. In the last 12 years, they have only finished under ten wins twice (2005 and 2013). They are the nation's favorite "underdog," get Nike Pro Combat uniforms year after year, and are competitive in nearly every game they play in. Their only downers have been snubs from the BCS (which, from a fan's perspective isn't that bad. I think it would be much nicer to savor an undefeated season and feel like your team could have beaten the national champion than it is to lose to the national champion).

Besides, Boise is simply the better team. They're 4-1 vs BYU

From a quality of life perspective, being a Boise State fan has to be incredible. Only a very few teams have had it better, and some traditional powerhouses (Michigan, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Penn State, Miami, etc.) have had it much worse.
