He is not your traditional pro QB like Mannion, Canfield, or Anderson.
Mannion averaged 38 attempts every game last year and completed over 60% in half of them. Armstrong had only 30 attempts in three games and completed over 60% in one of them, the USC game which going into the game was not something that was expected. Armstrong had 4 other games with an over 60% completion with 13, 22, 29, 19 pass attempts. He averaged 26 attempts a game and 20 when you take out those two outlier games (MSU and USC). Only other game over 30 attempts was a FBS team. Clearly Nebraska used the pass effectively off of the run.
