why has BYU never bought out that area?

It makes no sense. I love BYU and wouldn't want to live there. Traffic would be a nightmare since they shut down campus drive and all the traffic has spilled out onto surrounding arterials. It is a no-brainer to take everything between the stadium and the MTC out to Stadium Ave. Eminent domain the homes, give them fair market value, and BYU has room to expand. That's about 100 homes gone, so what, maybe $40 M gets it done?
