True. Luckily, my work offers a pretty dang good 401k/IRA plan for my main
investments.

This is more of a trial in order to build up enough of a portfolio to transfer-in-kind to the Church in order to take advantage of avoiding capital gains tax and the charitable contribution.

RobinHood does not allow transfer-in-kind yet, but they say they are planning on it.

By the time they implement it, I'd like to have enough of a portfolio to take advantage of the tax breaks.
