Speaking of fat-shaming. How would you address this problem? Our family just
moved to a new neighborhood and it's been quite the experience for us. We're not used to living in a neighborhood so the closeness of neighbors is taking some getting used to for us, but more especially for my wife. We found a home near a greenbelt area which was nice as it reminds us of the countryside where we used to live. The neighborhood is relatively new so some people in the area aren't used to homes being there and I think that's causing some conflicts.

There's a guy from a nearby neighborhood who comes over to the greenbelt and uses it as a personal tanning spot. He probably has used this spot for years but now that our home is there I can foresee some serious problems on the horizon. He's not a small man and he (apparently) doesn't like tan lines because he will lay out in the greenbelt stark naked. At first we thought it was funny and we'd wave to him from our deck as he was leaving, hoping that he'd get the hint that it's no longer a private area. No dice. Since he keeps coming I've asked him to at least wear shorts because my wife (stay-at-home mom) isn't interested in the view he provides. He's been getting belligerent lately and I'm starting to get upset about it. He's gotten crass during his tanning sessions, belching and farting audibly and basically making a nuisance of himself.

After one time he exposed his backside to my wife (intentionally dropped something so he'd have to pick it up) I lost my cool and stormed out and yelled at him. I ended up calling the cops and they let him go with a warning (should have charged, IMO) but told him not to come back. Well I've seen him pacing the sidewalk by path that leads to the greenbelt and I'm starting to get a little worried that he's going to do something to my family. The police aren't willing to charge people for crimes, apparently, so what do you suggest I do to encourage this guy to not come back?
