just figured he was some local singer when he was introduced to me and didn't really think anything about it (he was a friend of a friend of a friend is how it worked out). Apparently, he actually was pretty big at that time (late 90s), but I didnt' find that out until a couple months later when I heard his name mentioned by someone and said, "Hey I know that guy."
