when he's only run for one first down the entire season. Using him exclusively as a DIVE back with ONE exception where they threw to him last game (but not for a first down). Edit: Let me emphasize that more. We ran him up the gut unsuccessfully except for once for three straight games and it took until game 4 before we decided to throw to him.
While we've had our current starting FB never get a hand off ever in lieu of running Carter up the gut. We had success running Langi, and never pursued it in lieu of running Carter up the gut. We had success running Bernard (4 for 30yrds) but still go away from it in lieu of running Carter up the gut. We haven't even attempted to pass to a TE once this entire season because we'd rather run Carter up the gut as a better option.
Basically we are mocking the idiocy of the thinking that despite all the statistical evidence to the contrary and the possibility to try something different, for some reason we've decided that a very good play to run numerous times every single game is:
Carter up the gut.
