Recruiting is a double edged sword for BYU
We are a shoo in with many LDS athletes... not all, but many... and we have the upper hand with recruiting the lion's share.

The upside is that we get a lot of good talented LB type athletes, who tend to be white or polynesian. We also get decent talent at QB, for the most part.

The downside is recruiting some of the skill positions, particularly CB, but also RB and WR. We tend to get sub par talent there. Even teams like UNLV can often have better talent at those spots than we do.

It kind of sets us up to get a middle of the road recruiting class. Never too terrible, but never really great either.
