Unfortunately given BYUs mission I don't see them getting a med school. It's a huge liability, it's essentially a money dump unless you can get huge NIH grants on a regular basis, and BYU is focused on undergrads anyway. I'd love to see them open a medical school and more biomedical PhD programs but I don't see it happening in the near future if at all.
