Here is why I support him:
1. He cares about the athletes. They are more important than the game.
2. In spite of his critics (justified and unjustified) he stays with his personal plan. He will not change what he is doing because of whiners.
3. I believe he is constantly getting better and learning. Does he make mistakes? Sure, but he rarely makes the same one twice.
4. He is true to BYU's mission.
5. He see's and agrees with the Church's big picture in regard to athletics.
I wish we could win every game. And that the good Lord would never let a BYU coach fail. But that is not what is best in the long run. One day soon, Bronco's faith in his program will be rewarded with a season that even the whiners can appreciate.
It is also my opinion that changes coaches every time they lose or make mistakes, no matter who the fantasy replacement coaches are, is a stupid way to run an athletic program.
