In about three weeks, I'll be moving into a brand new house. Less than a mile away from where I am now. Pretty similar to when we sold our house and moved into a rental six months ago. For that move, we borrowed a pick up and moved over the course of a week, making what felt like 5,000 1 mile round trips. I never want to do that again.
I plan on getting a quote from a local small business moving company but I'm also considering getting a U-haul and picking up some guys from Home Depot for a few hours. Anyone ever done this? I don't speak Spanish and I'm not sure how challenging that might be.
Outside of using EQ guilt labor, has anyone found any other creative short distance moving ideas to make the process as painless as possible?
