The opposing center on the floor during most of Jimmer's highlight reel appears to be about 6'5". Jimmer just can't get that many close range shots in the NBA. When he's dealing with college level talent and size, he can excel, but Jimmer doesn't go near the paint when he's up against NBA centers and forwards.
