reading all the concerns from fans about Ken N this is starting to look pretty accurate. It seems like these same fans are all on board with hiring Sitake.

Ken N is the most successful coach in Navy history. If BYU were lucky enough to get him it would be universally regarded as a fantastic hire outside of BYU fandom. There have been many schools interested in Ken.

I think Sitake is great and has the chance to be a great head coach some day. But he has ran other coaches defenses and is coming off of a 2-10 season. There is not another school in the country looking at him as a head coach. If BYU were to hire him it would look like a desperate move by those outside of BYU fandom. If it ends up Sitake I will be all on board and hope it goes well. It may but there will be a big learning curve.

Please give Ken a chance if hired. He is not being hired just because the Board of Trustees thinks he is the safest coach and only want a mission president. He will be hired because he is not only a great person but a very successful coach sought by many other programs. I don't think it is that high of a priority for ESPN, but given our contract with them ESPN will be thrilled with Ken's hire compared to a very risky and desperate looking hire of Sitake.
