It's actually closer to the opposite, I think.
I feel I am a pretty disinterested party about firesides. I go to one or two away games a year, so I have had ample opportunity to go to a fireside, but I have never been to one. They don't interest me, and I am usually in a place I have never been before, so I want to check out the area. I really don't care if firesides stay or go.

When I see someone very vocal about the terribleness of firesides, I think to myself "Here is someone who is not focused on the reality of the job Bronco did (IMO, pretty decent with some pretty significant weaknesses), but instead has to fixate on one minor item that he has convinced himself is emblematic of all that was wrong with Bronco."

Anyone who thinks that a relatively minor item like firesides are really all that important either for bad or good is someone who has an agenda, a bias, or just can't think critically.
