If it weren't for Obamacare these people would be bankrupt or dead
Some companies are losing money because they are required to insure people with "preexisting conditions." No insurance company would insure them before Obamacare required it because these people were too "risky" and would take money away from the bottom line and the shareholders pockets. They were "uninsurable." But without insurance and with the ridiculously high cost of healthcare in America these people would be bankrupt or dead.

This is a moral issue. People shouldn't have to go bankrupt in order to have decent healthcare. And under no circumstance should anyone be "uninsurable," especially not with the silly cost of healthcare in this country. Democrats care deeply about this issue. Many Republicans and insurance companies do not.

I'm convinced Jesus would care about this issue. A lot. Helping the poor and the sick requires more than just throwing them a few donations here and there. In practical terms it requires access to healthcare insurance.

The old model was broken. Obamacare is trying to fix it. The fix may not be perfect yet, but it will eventually force a market correction and the healthcare industry in the US will stabilize. And everyone will have access to healthcare insurance. This is truly great news.
