but just telling half truths or exaggerating things, telling one part of a story and blowing it out of proportion to make something look bad. That way technically you aren't lying to the kid.
Also just spending time in general talking more about why you should NOT go to such and such school than why you SHOULD go here. I'm sure every coach in the country has participated in some way or another. Wonder how many times a kid will bring up "so this school said this, offered me this, etc..." What the coach does in return? Does he offer something else from his own program, or does he try to trash talk that program. I'm sure a lot of recruits can see through it too.
BTW, does anyone still actually believe that Kirby was being honest with his BYU comments? It was nothing more than a bad way of admitting, I want to go somewhere else.
