Examples of negative recruiting:

Recruit wants a degree in aerospace. Recruiter goes on and on about how his top choice doesn't offer a degree in the field, while the recruiter's own school doesn't offer the degree either.

Or, recruiter continually brings up past criminal activities of players from the rival's school.
