I can't speak for the incidents or if others were involved but I'm specifically referring to the company that targets black guys from poor inner cities to sell their product in white communities.
First off, we like the cleaner. It really does work on tons of everyday stuff and can last long if you dilute it but that isn't entirely why I purchase it. To be perfectly honest I feel bad for these guys and their circumstances and out of appreciation for them just trying to do something honest and positive, I feel great about supporting them.
Do I think the bottle is worth $42.00? Heck no!!! But I'm not for a second going to haggle with a dude I know good and well lives well below what I live on. My simple $42.00 purchase is more of a way to encourage these young men who really come from crappy circumstsnces and don't have the same opportunities many people with two parents and a decent community have.
I get it... Their self deprecating humor/sales tactic is a bit phony. They always comment on how black they are and really play on the white guilt but even though I see through and beyond it I still feel really bad for these guys. Each time I purchase and they look at my home, vehicles and family in awe I tell them they can do this too. I encourage them to keep working hard, keep smiling and good things can happen.
I highly encourage others to support these guys. If nothing else you're doing a small part in giving hope to people who really don't have much. I've now bought 3 years in a row and will continue. I consider it almost a charitable donation in some ways to help them build confidence and belief in themselves.
