Dallas spent 3 years on the Philly practice squad, the maximum the NFL allows. It was time to cut loose or be put on the 53 man roster.
So here is a guy who spent 3 years on a practice squad and 2 years on a mission. 5 Years older than someone you can get in the draft.
You don't think Reid's BYU loyalties and personal loyalties to Lance Reynolds had something to do with Dallas finally making it onto the roster, so when the injury happened he was there to fill the void as opposed to someone else?
I'm not complaining, I love seeing BYU guys in the NFL, and I have no doubt other coaches do the same thing. It is part of the biz. I think it is great that Dallas has been able to take that playing time he got and use it to still find work with other teams, like the Giants last year
