Millenials are big on not spending pointless money for traditions sake
Even wedding rings have taken on a new cost model and tradition.
Renting/buying tuxes is a thing of the past. It's become smarter to simply buy a really nice fitting suit that can be used for a variety of occasions. Even black tie events don't require a tux, or even a black suit at that.
