I was able to enjoy a 1994 Pontiac Firebird Formula with the corvette's own V8 for a reasonable price while I was in college. Had a hoot in that thing, removing the T-top and all.

Sure, people mocked me as "white trash" and what-not......yes, I even heard that to my face once. It was funny, I even had numerous "you must be compensating for something" comment from nearly every Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla driver I met.....and I kept my car clean and stock (many even came up and asked if it was "new" even though it was 10 years old by that time).

The real idiots are the ones who "label" cars as gay, white trash, yuppie, etc. Seriously? At the end of the day it's 4-wheels and an internal combustion motor.

I say buy a Camaro if you like it. Buy and old one. Buy a 1977 Trans Am with screaming Chicken and Poncho 455 and burn-out.

And yeah....a C4 corvette is a dang good bargain right now....because of the "stigma" attached to one.

Life is too short to worry about what "others" think of your ride.
