the real risk for the school is becoming decertified (or whatever the official term is) with the US Dept of Education under the Title IX requirements. If this were to happen, they lose all Federal Funding and the right for their students to qualify for FASFA Federal Grants

This is actually a very real concern for BYU if the LGBT community gets too much power and becomes part of the discrimination legislation. BYU students would be in serious trouble, especially the married students.
