Yes, I'm not talking about dudes packing a ton on.
I'm talking about people on CB getting worried about a 190-200lb 18 yr old losing all of his speed later on when he's 215. Maybe a 205 lb safety possibly moving to LB and people worrying that he won't be fast anymore. or a LB moving to DE and putting on 20. Or a 200 lb RB being 215 or whatever. Or even a 170 kid being 190... Michael Davis is one of them. And I'm sure he's as fast as ever if not faster. Why? Because this is all reasonable weight gain for athletes moving to the next level. Not just due to the weight room but due to time/age. Nothing wrong with Jamaal being 220 now. Part of it is that he came here as a kid who was barely 17 and he's just growing up now.

Just saying that people shouldn't worry about a 170 lb skill position recruit possibly being bigger later on as a college player. Or any of the other things that are in the reasonable range. It's just normal.

If guys are putting on more than that, and in a shorter time, it's likely because they're doing something that doesn't require them to be really fast. Linemen are a different story. But for skill guys people on here worry too much. 20 lbs **over a year or a few years** is usually going to be a good thing for a college athlete.
