Taysom has too much muscle mass
for his skeletal structure and that is what is impacting his joints. The squat itself was not the problem. The problem was that he was a yolked 240 pounds and it was just too much stress on his joints and feet.

The 550 pound front squat was when Taysom walked into the weight room and asked what the most weight any player on the team was lifting, put on 10 more pounds and proceeded to do it without even warming up. It is one of the most impressive things I have ever heard of. Being a muscle bound, gym rat doesn't always make for the best QB. Perhaps a little more yoga and calisthenics with less heavy weight lifting. I would love to see Taysom play at about 215-220 pounds instead of above 240. He is not a FB, he is a mobile QB. David Boston had the same problem back in the day in the NFL. He became obsessed with strength and size but his lower body could never handle it and he was constantly injured.
