He's merely saying he won't let a few dollars on the front end...

Incidentally, I've heard from pretty reliable folks that some big donors have offered to give Tom a lot of financial leeway should he get us in the Big 12.
Further, I've heard the deal is already done and BYU will be phased in over 5 years. Yewtah phased in over 4 years. If what I've heard is true, I'm glad Tom didn't let pride ("Hey, our rival only needed 4 years!") to keep us out of the Big 12.
