Uncle Rico moment dead ahead:
In the little corner of the world where I played football, I recall a long touchdown pass, late in a district title game. That thing hung in the air forever. From the release, I could tell it was pretty much a perfectly-thrown ball, and it was all on me to catch it and run it in.
There were plenty of times where I felt an adrenaline rush, etc. Not on that play. When it was over, all I felt was relief.
Even though I know the outcome, I sometimes I get the same feeling watching the ball make its way to Harline, and part of me still hopes he is inside of the end zone as he makes the catch.
