BYU is the best candidate far and away. If you don't have BYU, the expansion pool is not good. If you disqualify BYU through various hack jobs, you greatly decrease the likelihood of the B12 expanding because the candidates available outside of BYU aren't good enough to stand on their own. It will backfire badly for the haters.
