People in WV make fun of themselves more than anyone that I know. If I had a dollar for every time I heard the toothbrush joke (How do you know the toothbrush was invented in West Virginia? If it was invented anywhere else it would be called a teethbrush!!!) in West Virginia, I don't think I would have to work a day in my life. They also like to poke fun at the fact that they eat roadkill and all sorts of ridiculous stuff. Ironically, none of it is true.
