Even in 2014 it was very close.
USC led 21-17 with about 2:00 to go and a 4th and 2 from the Utah 30(ish). They went for it, didn't get it, and gave Utah the ball back. Utah went on a great 70-yard drive (probably the best drive of Wilson's career) and ended with a TD pass to Anderson with about :10 left on the clock. USC played okay, although both teams suffered some turnovers (Utah gave away 6-14 points on fumbles in the red zone) and sloppy play.
