I know that for most people, nothing they do changes the game, but there was a
game several years ago where I knew we were losing because I had decided not to play after my mission. I felt awful and told my wife that it was really painful not to be out there with my boys. She reminded me that I am an overweight slob of a divorce and slip-and-fall attorney and that I was terrible at football even in high school and that I needed to keep folding laundry or she was not going to let me finish watching the game.

But as I folded her old house dresses, I knew deep down inside that if I had just tried out for the team, I could have been making a difference.
