picking in essence. I guess you're right, there would have to be a time limit in that case, or another rule to say if the ball leaves a certain area, then the rule "resets", so yeah, complicated.
They could add a three-seconds in the box rule.
And then call it "the key" instead.
And then shrink the field size significantly--and play indoors . . . on hardwood.
Change the goals to a net hanging on a post. Then change the ball to orange with stripes and change dribbling with your feet to bouncing. Eliminate kicking and let players hold the ball. Then they could change the team size to 5 instead of 11, because of the smaller field (and call it a court). Then you could throw the ball into the hanging net instead of kicking it in the goal (you could test this theory with peach baskets if you wanted, just to see how it goes). If you added some stripes on the court, you could award different numbers of points dependent on the distance from the net.
