There are many examples of this on the team (Taysom, etc.), but JW fought through physical, behavioral (withdrew for personal reasons) as well as football challenges.
As a double minority at BYU the path of least resistance is often to transfer or give up. I admire JW for his resilience and attitude through this. He is upbeat and having fun. He is also respectful and appreciative of the chances he's been given.
All that plus, he is a BOSS on the field. Certainly among the best RB BYU has ever had, if not the very best.
