The main differences with the Edge 7 are:

*reduced internal storage (no big deal with microSD card capability)
*no iris scanner (no big deal as the fingerprint functionality works well)
*no USB-C connection (kind of a bummer, but not a deal breaker)
*no stylus (also a bummer, but I frankly didn't use it much anyway)

Having the wireless charging, water/dust resist, and edge features with only a slightly smaller screen (but same resolution) make it worthwhile for me. I'll be able to do nearly all the everyday things and still have the same Galaxy UI I've gotten used to over the last many years (Note 2, Note 4, and Note 7 user).
