Tanner never wanted to redshirt due to his age. He has said this several times.
Tanner asked to go into the Michigan State game and the coaches agreed.
I would have loved to redshirt Tanner this year but he has other plans.

I'm convinced they're afraid Tanner will look better than Taysom. The'd look like fools for not switching long ago.
