Exactly. What is ND's rationale playing for an annual game w/ us? None.
No upside to lock-in BYU. Only have ACC dedicated opponents and USC/Stanford/Navy annually. That takes 8 slots, that means BYU would want 25% of the open slots......not happening.
BYU provides little upside for them. Add revenues? No. Is this nationally viewed as a quality win or only downside on a loss? Only downside (I know it hurts). Natural rival? No. Hot bed location for recruiting? No.
What is it? A 2 for 1 made sense to fill added home games, but no longer needed given the ACC.
