I admit, I don't understand why they can't announce the game without the date.
i.e., why don't they just contractually agree to schedule a game for 2021 and 2022, but work out any scheduling details 3-4 years out rather than 6 years out. This gives both schools more flexibility in case a really good home-game opportunity comes along.
