While he was saying it as a positive to promote the idea that their champion will have played a tough SOS and will be deserving of a playoff berth, I think it there is a counter point that could be made that by following this format the Big 12 may be making it TOO difficult for their conference champion to get to the end of the season with no losses (or even one loss for that matter).
