Back in the MWC days we were everybody's rival game. A win over BYU in a season could excuse 3 to 4 losses alone. But we didn't view these MWC schools as equal rivals. It did belittle the Wyomings, SDSUs and UNLVs. But it wasn't personal. We couldn't consider everyone our rival game.

Utah saw this. Monkey see, monkey do. They are now attempting to do the same thing in an attempt to gain a psychological edge over BYU. They are attempting to act as if they are above the rivalry now in an attempt to show the PAC that they now control the SLC market. Nope.

Nice try....they have closed the gap, but they are still second fiddle to the size and expanse of a national BYU program.
