I haven't done any GI service in school yet, but thought the main diagnosis was based on transgluatminase and endomysial antibody tests. Since the sensitivity and specificity of the tests is so high (unless there is IgA deficiency), I didn't even realize there would be a confirmatory duodenal biopsy. Thanks for pointing that out for me.
